I will be assigned in Japan for a few weeks and my itinerary includes a ride on the bullet train. For those who have tried, how do you feel?

On a superficial level, it is only one train.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it is very smooth, quiet and wide. Although the seats do not lean back a lot, there are more than enough leg room (much, much better than any other airline in economy class) for the majority.
Make sure that you have a window seat and just relax and widen the world.
The only parts that are not located on Green Car (1. class) no electricity for equipment (with the exception of the new N700, I think) and there is no WiFi at all an issue very important, though - mobile phone base station car !
Oh, and especially if you travel by train in the afternoon, you might even sit next to a business man with a box of food as bad smell and a few cans of beer.
